Chitabe Concession

The Chitabe Concession is a private wildlife concession in the southeastern Okavango Delta of Botswana, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. It is a remote wilderness area characterized by a mixture of permanent and seasonal wetlands, open grasslands, floodplains and woodland, creating excellent conditions for wildlife throughout the year.

Chitabe is particularly well known for predator sightings, with good opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs and African wild dogs, as well as elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and numerous antelope species. The area's combination of water and dry woodland makes it especially productive for wildlife viewing during the dry season, when animals concentrate around the remaining water sources.

One of the major advantages of the Chitabe Concession is that it is a private concession, allowing safari activities that are generally more flexible than those available in national parks. Depending on the operator and seasonal conditions, guests can enjoy day and night game drives, off-road wildlife viewing and guided walking safaris.
